Whether it is a prospective client, law student, lateral hire or professional staff member, there is always an element of engagement necessary to make your firm the organization of choice. Who does your does your firm need to engage and how are you doing it? Because if it doesn’t involve a video component, you are missing out on a huge opportunity to engage your audience.
The stats are in. According to Video Brewery’s recent blog 18 Big Video Statistics and What they Mean for Your Business, 45.4% of Internet users view at least one video a month. And according to ERC’s HR Insights Blog, video can capture what words can’t, the faces of employees; how your company looks and feels; and the passion, authenticity, enthusiasm and culture that lives inside your company.
Imagine the power of a junior partner engaging 2L summer associate candidates across the country through video – explaining how he or she was once in their shoes, why they chose your firm, describing their positive experience and showing the successful career track possible for those students. Engaging, right? Maybe even compelling??
There are a numbers of ways video can improve HR and recruiting efforts by breathing life into words, allowing for true engagement with a modest investment of time and money. Video levels the playing field for small and medium sized businesses. I mean who would have thought Navigate Recruiting could have the same capabilities to engage through video as say I don’t know Google?? (Hover over both company names for video links and a shameless plug by Google…!)
